Daily Snap: When in Rome…

Hi all! Today was one delicious day. I had every intention of having a lunch time repeat of yesterday. I love those burgers and slaw. Then, a group of my coworkers came into my office and declared they were having Thai at Mini Mango. All thoughts of my lunch left my mind as I said Yes!

I mean, how can and why would you say no to that….and I sampled everything without going overboard. We even had leftovers that I didn’t take.

I actually planned to balance out my day at dinner when The Husband made us dinner – surprise! Bambino’s and Taylor’s salad. I think I found it funnier than him that I accidentally bought the Garden Chopped Salad (think bacon, sunflower seeds, cranberries – so good!) Instead of the Mediterranean blend he wanted. I do think it was big of him to make it anyway when he doesn’t like fruit in his salad. I lol’d as he picked around the cranberries.

Definitely a higher point day….when in Rome…eat as they do and enjoy every single delicious point, track it and know your still 100% on program!

Daily Snap Recap:

B: Healthy Eggroll (Mission Extra Thin Yellow Corn Tortilla, Sargento RF cheddar, Fried Egg, Sriracha) – 5 sp, 1/2 cup watermelon

S: Grande iced Nonfat Latte with caramel on top (3 sp)

L: 1 shrimp bite, 1/2 avocado Eggroll – it was weird, then about 1/4 – 1/2 cup each (split 4 ways) – Basil Chicken, See Ew noodles, Panang Chicken & Shrimp Curry, coconut salted caramel sticky rice with mango – 17 sp

S: Tall Dirty Americano (1 sp)

D: Trader Joe’s Pepperoni Bambino (9 sp), 1 Svg Taylor Farms Garden Chopped Salad (6 sp)

41 Daily Smartpoints, 15K+ steps – glad I got in my 1 hour AM walk plus walking to/from lunch

      I actually love it. It’s not too sweet and the salty caramel and mango balance the richness.

      About 2/3’s cup. The recipe makes 12 servings.

    I made the lemony coleslaw this weekend along with a skinny macaroni salad. Both were delicious.
    I have been using so many recipes. My husband and I have been using Points Plus since March 1st and we both have lost 32 pounds. We are very happy with the results. My husband has been on cooking duty while I recover from major back surgery. To help him I put together 30 freezer meals with instructions and point values.
